Reattempting payments
With this option, business payers will be able to have the possibility to retry the payment in case the first attempt fails, allowing them to use the payment methods again to select another option.
What is a reattempt to pay?
It is a new option that makes it easier for your customers to try again to pay for their product in case the first attempt fails, enabling them again the payment methods so that they can choose another method.
How does the reattempting payment option work?
The user is in the business' checkout, selects the payment method that suits them best. If this first payment attempt fails, a message will appear indicating that the payment attempt has failed and that they can try again with another payment method. They will be given 3 minutes to make this new payment.
How do I check if it is a reattempt payment?
To check if it was the first attempt or the second attempt, go to your Wompi account. In the transactions section, you can review and validate the double transaction made by the user. If you see one declined transaction and an approved one with the same reference, it means that it was done through the reattempting.
Webhook integration
When there is a reattempt, you will be notified of the second transaction made through reattemping with both their ID and their payment method, which may be different.
